QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)

Anyone know why Troy hasn't had his name put on the 'Ring'? Heisman and now HOF, pretty good cred to be up there. He's the only Heisman not up there......Go Bucks

Apparently OSU decided to stop retiring numbers in all sports, in 2011 or 2012.

Although that article isn't quite clear on whether legends like Troy will be honored on the stadium, like maybe raising Hopson's uniform to the rafters in the Schott, without actually retiring the number.

2nd pre-season loss, and new QB Smith still learning Canadian game:

Troy Smith, who’ll begin the season as the Als’ starting quarterback, looked like a guy playing his first game of the year. Smith, who missed last weekend’s exhibition match at Hamilton with a knee injury, played the entire first half and into the third quarter, but completed only 50 per cent of his passes.
Smith went 11 of 22 for 141 yards. It was clear timing issues remain between the former Heisman Trophy winner and many of his receivers — everyone, that is, except Duron Carter, who caught four passes for 44 yards.
“Things weren’t as good as you want it to be,” Smith admitted. “But we will get better. There definitely were some timing issues. I hope it gets better.
“But it’s too early to be concerned. It’s very premature. We’re just starting to embark on something great. We’ll undoubtedly go through some trials and tribulations.”

** and Smith has some other help from ex-Ochocinco:

As for wide-receiver Chad Johnson, who was playing his first game since 2011, Johnson, who spent a decade in the NFL playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and is making a comeback at age 36, caught a 13-yard pass on the game’s opening play — and nothing after that, although Smith tried several times.
“Sloppy,” Johnson said. “Nowhere near where I want to be. But it was a joy to be back on the damn field. It was a great feeling.”
On Thursday, Johnson compared the feeling of returning to the anticipation of knowing he was going to lose his virginity. So, in retrospect, what was better?
“My first game back,” he said. “At this point, this is the end (of my career). I’ll always be able to have sex.”

Unfortunately, I'm not seeing the game listed on ESPN2 on my box. My guess is the game is on ESPN3, better known as your computer.
