'Roids Hammer Coming Down Again Soon

As it relates to the thread:

-rumor is almost 100% certain Clemons is involved but here's an interesting tidbit

-there has also been a lot of talk that there are close to 50 players who have tested positive and will come to light soon. David Wells appears to confirm this one here.
Like I said before, there is just so much smoke to this story there has to be some fire imo.

I love the Wells line about he doesn't have to worry about 'roids because he's fat.

If Clemens is going down, I wonder how long he's been juicing?

I wonder what all the Roger lovers in the media will say if true.

Personally this whole thing is bulls hit IMO. I've never used it and probably never will, but do we not have bigger problems than this? I can see the point if steroids/HGH were killing people off and it was addictive, but it has infact done the opposite. There is no proof of ANY (THATS RIGHT ZERO) deaths from either of these. What we do know is that these products increase muscle fibers, endurance, strength, and speeds up recovery time. So Congress is going after two people who use it? Hell elder people use this product by perscription to enhance LIFE!!!! I mean come on What a waste of their time, and a waste of time that could be used to solve some of our problems. That goes for the DEA busting steroid labs all over america as well. How bout finding the cocaine, meth, and opium labs first hu.... You know the drugs that are addictive and you know the ones that cause harm to the human body's functions? I mean jesus just tax the steroids because they're obviously trying to stop the Illegal use of it for a reason.

I think this whole thing is such a waste of everyone's time...Again I'm just sayin because i"m in the health field that it's horse shit. Honestly, guys there's no proof these things do ANYTHING that the media/doctors say. Heart/Respitory/blood pressure/cancer's/etc could've happened reguardless of their steroids use.

Yes you tend to get more aggressive with steroids but I dunno bout any of you I'd take that side effect rather than staying up 6 days straight on a LSD trip, but because Steroids/HGH/Roger/Barry are such dangerous things maybe LSD is safer? What a waste this country should get better use out of it's dollars and start doing some things that actually fucking matter.

Damn, what kind of acid are you taking? Never heard of a 6 day trip. My experiences only lasted about 8 hours.

I agree that Congress has more important things to worry about but I'm glad Clemens is finally taking some heat for this though. Dude had become an average pitcher in his last few seasons with the Sox and couldn't handle that reality. He found an edge and became dominant again. I was always amazed how Bonds received so much scrutiny for getting better after what should have been his prime yet Clemens skated by.

ok ok I made that part up but I'm pretty sure some drugs can't keep you feelin messed up for 6 days (or a combo of drugs, just like in Fear/Loathing in Las Vegas). My point is though how bout concentrating on the drugs that are proven to be awful for you. This is a waste of time, especially considering the steroid/HGH use it bigger than one or two people. I think its wrong to put a couple players in court just for the sake of putting a face to steroids. Especially considering its the wrong sport to check into... How bout cleaning up Body Building first?? You know the sport with 300 pound men with 2% body fat?? Oh thats right they make hardly any money so it's not as note worthy... Fuckin congress, give me a break...When Congress is tied up in a "he said, she said" pissing contest thats just more time that other true problems aren't being corrected.

I think that both should skate by.... I mean a lot of people think these two players have benefited only from this. I bet almost everyone in the sports world is taking some form of HGH/Steroid/whatever else and it doesn't really matter anymore to be honest. IMO, if Roger Clemens is roided up and he's pitching to a batter who's roided up then who really has the advantage??? No one really does, Sure if he's throwing to an all natural hitter he's got an advantage but who knows how wide spread the useage was??

If I would have typed that I would have been hanged from a tree.....That's exactly basicially how I have always felt about it. The average person thinks someone on a cycle is walking down the street ready to kill someone. The fact that drugs (meth especially) has infested my hometown makes me realize that times change even more so. I've never seen a guy stealing shit off my back porch, that was taking it for "juice money"...I know plenty of people using that have everyday lives that are normal.

On the flip side...I just wish they had better regulations in sports. You can't nip the supplier in the bud here. China isn't the only country that is going to supply powder to convert(Yes,I know they have cracked down a lot.. Olympics). That's like saying your taking down "pot dealers",when they can grow it in the attic....That's just the truth of the matter. People can believe what they want about the subject. I stated on here a long time prior to any investigation that the world of sports was full of "ped's"...

I personally believe the root of this shit was implanted long ago,and most people ignored it so it spread over sports, and was covered up by anyone close to it. One falls and it's a domino effect over the entire world of sports.

Yep. Especially about the bodybuilding part..Funny we have Arnold in a position he's in,when he's admittedly taken steroids, and smoked pot on film...O that's right he was an actor too...So it's accepted, because he was famous for something other then that. Sly got popped for GH,and done an interview on "today show" advocating the use of it...

If there's an advantage to taking steroids, then everyone would need to take it to even the playing field. There are many athletes unwilling to put a substance with possible side effects into their bodies in order to level that playing field. That's why Steroids are illegal in sports and SHOULD be illegal in sports.

The reason we make a big deal out of it is because these athletes do have an impact beyond just their sport and their competitors. They are, whether they want to be or not, role models for younger athletes. Are you really saying "What's the big deal?" to a 13-year-old shooting Winstrol? Or do you simply believe that athletes do not have that kind of impact on the younger generation?

Here you are again. I'll ask the question one more time.... do you support the use of HGH and steroids? I know your answer already, so why don't you just come out and say it.
