SF Andre Wesson (Official Thread)

I guess I do not understand why he has not already committed especially with his brother coming to Ohio State next year. Personally, I would rather have him then Trice. I do not know maybe he is second-guessing his offer because of the couple coaches leaving but I think I hometown boy would want to play at Ohio State. I guess this is assuming that his "offer" is a official offer.
From what I have read, Butler has given him a lot to think about.

I think one of the things that ended up getting him offered [paraphrasing from today's BH on BN] is that Andre can defend multiple positions and showed improved athleticism to go along with nice touch from beyond the arc (I believe his coach said he shot around 42% this year). Definitely a project, IMO...but if he continues to grow and can add weight (which is always suspect given the OSU basketball S&C program) I think he could be a contributor down the road. I can't imagine him picking anywhere other than OSU...Richmond and Butler will probably be the other hats on the table, if there are any.

If he sees any meaningful time on the court this year, then we are either suffering injuries, or he's a lot better than expected. He's an interesting one, for sure. It almost feels like he could turn into a taller Lenzelle Smith, and I'm good with that!

I think you might be underestimating him a little bit. I look for him to help the team more than a lot of people anticipate for a freshman with little notoriety.
