Aj Jenkins is the truth..we need to shut him down..and if our lb's.star, and safeties don't tackle Scheelhause. will run all over us. On O maybe break out the Shot Ginn with Hall in the slot and power O with Herron and Hyde and keep Miller healthy I can't take many more rainbows to the front row..my Illini friends said they are bringing our Hard-Hats in case we bring on the relief pitcher..

Which brings up the question, whatever happened to Ron Smith? Did they suddenly decide to red-shirt him? Is he injured?

Pre-season I kept hearing, "Wait till you see this guy."

Musta kicked him off the team because I don't see anyone on the roster by the name of Ron Smith.

Rod Smith has been benched after he had a fumble problem. He fumbled against Akron, and again against Toledo, the latter which almost led to a Toledo go-ahead score to win.

Have no idea what to expect here except for an Illinois Linebacker to look like Dick Butkus and a RB or QB play like an All-American. It happens all the time vs these guys.

I also have no idea how the team will respond to last weeks game. To have an emotional roller-coaster game like that and have the locker room already a little split... it could be real ugly.

If Braxton is ok and can play the whole game, we keep it close within 7. If the defense is able to win the TO battle and make a big play on ST or D we could squeek one out.

I pretty much agree. If Brax plays the whole game, I think OSU has a good shot to win. If nothing else, it should be a close game. If he goes down to injury and Joe B gets the nod, I think OSU loses by 14-20. Not bashing here, but he hasn't shown much of an ability to move the offense recently. If Brax goes down, I'd give the nod to Guiton, who provides some mobility at the QB position, which is critical in that wind tunnel of a stadium in Champaign.

I will add that the weather will inevitably be bad...and Illinois will miss a field goal shorter than 32 yards

That is exactly why you have assistant on field and in the press box.

Every coach from pee wee to the pros has been in the same situation.

A trusted voice saying, hey coach, we need to go for two to tie or get the score to a one score difference, is vital.

The sideline can and is a very frenetic site and there are so many things to consider.
