2025 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

love it... feels light on the DL.... I'm guessin you're assuming we add a few through the portal? Birm was talking they need 7 on the DL in 25...
I think 6-7 is what we end up with, we need the numbers in a big way at DL. Kirks seemingly impending commitment in the '24 class helps, but we still need a bunch at DL IN '25. Seems like we have plenty of realistic targets at DE, but DT is a bit of a mystery right now with not a ton of targets. We'll see some more names pop up for sure but as of right now it is tough to really call...aside from Caesar, there is nobody I feel all that confident on landing at the moment and we don't have a ton of offers out at DT yet.

Ohio State is visiting Ironton today and the guys at LR believe there’s a good chance Shaun Terry is offered. My only hold up would be, do we really need another slot WR in this class with Jayvon Boggs?

Also, someone who’s seen him in person said he struggles against press coverage which isn’t really ringing endorsement with how bad Ironton’s competition is.

College football recruiting: Early look at the top 25 classes for 2025

With National Signing Day for the 2024 cycle set for next week, which schools have the early lead in recruiting for the '25 class?

The college football 2024 recruiting cycle will soon come to an end with National Signing Day next Wednesday. However, the grind never stops as staffs across the country have already turned the page to the 2025 cycle with hopes of a securing an elite haul of recruits. Some schools created early separation in the early chase for the recruiting champion, while others prefer a slow approach with late moves deeper into the calendar.

Notre Dame (14), Clemson (11) and LSU (10) already have double-digit commitments locked in for the 2025 recruiting class with numerous Top247 recruits off the board at the beginning of February. The initial list of five-stars has yet to be revealed, but there are some potential members of that exclusive group verbally committed.

Georgia claimed the recruiting crown in the 2024 class and could be in position to make a repeat run at the title with a strong start by Kirby Smart and his staff in Athens.

Commits: 166.23

There is a lot of attention on Ohio State for the moves it made in the transfer portal and late in the 2024 class, but the Buckeyes are already off to a fast start in the 2025 recruiting class with a recent commitment from Top247 offensive tackle Carter Lowe. The Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer standout picked Ohio State over finalists Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee. Lowe is one of five commits for the Buckeyes that rank inside the top-100 individual recruiting rankings for the 2025 class.
