Game Thread tOSU vs. Sparty, Sat 11/21, 3:30pm ET, ABC

This is really "Game #2" of the season. Sorry, but it is. This is the game the whole team and staff have had circled all year as the showdown. You think for a second they aren't as sharp as ever this week? All that sleepwalking was to save them for this...Game #2 and then Game #3, THE GAME.

We saw how they did with Game #1.

Shit said that he expects a close, low scoring game. Has he watched the Sparty D this year?

I see Urban standing on the sideline before the first series looking into the eyes of some guys ready to play to their potential, and he conjures his inner General Maximus and says, "On my signal, unleash hell."

The way Cook looked Sat, there's no way his shoulder is going to be 100%, and Bosa should knock him out early. I wouldn't be surprised if MSU has had that more athletic QB practicing this week to hit the OSU D with some option and QB run. Cook throwing the ball to open up the run was Sparty's only path to victory. If Cook goes down or isn't effective, this will get very ugly.

The good, MSU's defensive backfield is terrible

The bad, aside from Thomas, none of our receivers really stepped up to pose a legitimate threat

The other, Elflein is going to have his hands full with McDowell, also I hope Weber gets a couple of carries.

If we get anything significant from our passing game, it will get very ugly. MSU does not want to be in a situation where they have to play from behind and have Bosa and Washington teeing off.

Weber isn't playing unless it's an emergency. There's no way that red shirt gets burned this late in the season.
