i am gonna get defensive...academically Michigan is on another level than osu. This is a fact, and you guys exaggerate the standards you guys hold your players to.

I wonder how many of the scholars in that picture are getting a world class education.

If you believe Jim Harbaugh, zero.

No kidding. Athletic Department aptitude does not necessarily correlate to the rest of the institution.

your academic standards have no relevance to football and basketball players.

Michigan has been a minimum NCAA standards school for a long time, occasionally enrolling kids who didn't actually qualify fully. Tom Beaver talks about it frequently to contrast with the new standards.

That changed in the last year or so because your APR score is dangerously low, threatening a loss of scholarships or worse.

What a tired, false image these guys are pitching.

It's especially funny when the "walmart wolverine" fans, who have never set foot on campus, bring it up. And they do.
They're especially impressed by the academics because there's no way they could handle it.

Come to that, most of them couldn't handle the academics at ITT Tech.

I'm going to get offensive....as others have pointed out, your athletes don't go through anything remotely close to what your actual students go through and that is also a fact.

Thank you for perfectly illustrating the self important, delusional arrogance your douchebag fanbase is so widely known for.

Now go jangle some keys, talk about the 1901 team, black socks or whatever it is you fucking clowns do between circle jerks.

This and I am a Michigan fan. Yes, Michigan is a harder school too get into for STUDENTS then OSU.... Michigan bends with athletes just like everybody else. Being blind too it is just being ignorant. Now there is a difference between the "bending that schools such as OSU and Michigan do as far as recruiting and then say teams in the SEC for example. Michigan and OSU hardly ever take any JUCOS... SEC schools love JUCOS low risk and high reward. Michigan and OSU(and the rest of the big ten) have always cared about graduating their players and that is never going to change, can't say the same for some SEC schools or other schools across the country. Now by that same token Michigan and OSU respectively also know that some things needed to be bended in order too compete with best teams in the SEC and across the country... they just won't take it to an extreme level.

Mississippi State has always had a love affair with JUCOS from Jackie Sherrill days - how else can you get someone to go to that Hell hole? And while we (the SEC) use more than the B1G, we use less JUCOS than the PAC-10, Big-East or Big-12.
