Ty Isaac (official thread)

I wonder if he hasn't already hit his "ceiling" and it's not that high? Or he just is not focused mentally?
The kid at Alabama (Henry)might prove the better back, but maybe they both were over-rated?
His style should fit what they want pretty well. I think he's already better than Green so why redshirt him?
But, where is the offensive line development at scUM? He'll be trying to create yards by bouncing outside a lot.

Video mashup of every touch Ty had at USC in 2013.

This gives Michigan a third big back in the 2013 class (though he likely redshirts without further eligibility shenanigans at UM). I see a faster, similarly stiff hipped big back who is going to struggle if Michigan does not make big strides upfront (true for many backs). This is not a guy like Beanie, Clarett or Hyde that has the ability to invent yardage in a phone booth.

Unlike Derrick Green, I can see why recruiting sites ranked Isaac highly and the talent is there to be a good one. I just wonder whether he will realize that for Michigan and who the coaches will be when he does.
Thanks for the file, Jwins, but I lost sight in one eye and burned the cornea in the other when the section with Oregon State came on. Thems some ugly uniforms. Might even be uglier than Oregon's atomic neon chartreuse with wangs.

My God, what will happen to Clark Kent?

In the 21st century, he and Captain Marvel get married and adopt a kid named Noah.

In between making organic gluten free lunches and taking Noah to Montessori school in their Prius the couple fights for inclusion, diversity and a more comprehensive government entitlement package. Fighting bad guys is gone because a) they use their words now and b) you marginalize someone when you use the "b-word".

I see you've been collecting my big data...

Unfortunate situation for the young man, but whoever gets him is going to be getting a good one. Wasn't ND a strong contender for him before he committed to USC ? I know he committed in the summer, but I thought they were right in the thick of it beforehand. Either way, best of luck to him wherever he ends up, unless of course it's UM.

If this is really about being close to Mom then Northwestern and Illinois are the choices. AA is at least 4 hours from Joliet which has to be twice as much either Evanston or Champaign. South Bend is closer too so it be interesting to see if the restrictions USC placed on him stick.

Yeah, word from the coaches at ND was that Ty wanted to transfer to South Bend, but was blocked by USC so he went with scUM. I'm not sure it would have been a better situation for him though. ND has a somewhat crowded backfield as it is, so much so that former USC transfer Carlisle swapped to the Slot Receiver this Spring.

USC then scUM? This might be one of the top-10 worst people on the planet. Choke on a plate of poutine, or whatever they serve up in that broke wasteland of a state...

Yeah, and if he wanted to be Irish before making the move to scUM, that makes him even worse in the eyes of some around here
