The LSU fans have been impressive, as good as the best in the country! :tongue2:

Welcome all intelligent LSU fans, I hope we can keep some good football discussion between us. Most of the posts i have read have been surprising how nice most of you have been, Unlike last year when we were over run by ignorant Florida fans. Good luck in the game but i still hope we kick your ass.

Long time Tiger fan residing in Colorado.
One small favor to ask. Please don't take us to triple overtime. My cardiologist says I've used up my quota. :)

That made me laugh! Anyway, I am loving this thread and I am very happy to see so many LSU fans here. This is a great place to hang out, Tigers, and don't worry. These guys save the real smack talk for Michigan (you should have seen the comments being bandied about last month!). And since I live in Ann Arbor, I had to duck a couple times! But all in good fun. Welcome, y'all.

And of course, Go Bucks!

What exactly does Geaux Tigers mean? Does it mean Go Tigers or what?

"eaux" is pronounced like "oh". thanks to the huge acaidian french influence in southern louisiana, we have a lot of surnames that end in "eaux" or other variations. if you happen to come down for the game, you'll see a lot of it and we'll be able to instantly tell you're from out of time by how you pronounce names and streets even if you're not wearing the scarlet and gray

6. Injuries. In the second half against UT, we did not have one DL starter in for the majority of the snaps. We had two Freshmen and two sophomores playing. Dorsey and Favourite were out, but will be back. The one guy that will not be back was the original starting DT, Charles Alexander. Keiland Williams, RB, has a knee injury and his status is unknown. This is our big speed back. Losing him will hurt, if he is gone. However, everyone else should be at full speed for the first time in a long time.

I was told that Lawrence Wilson is contemplating a return which would boost our d-line depth and the layoff should also help our banged up backfield. The Illinois game really beat us up back there. I hope Saine can get his trust back in his legs by game time. And everyone on here knows that Tressel has something up his sleeves this year.

Let's Geaux Bucks!!!!

I believe Tressel had a LOT more stuff up his sleeve (wait, if you're wearing a sweater vest you don't have sleeves) or whatever that were in the play boook for the scUM game, but because of the weather, slippery footballs and 11-point lead, never got used.

So hopefully there will be some NC game surprises, some countering of our tendencies, some personnel moves.....

As some of you have already suggested, the difference may not come down to 40-times or passing efficiency but COACHING.

And I'll take the Vest over the Hat, any old day!

Go Buckeyes!!!!!

Kick return has gotten mcuh better, because Holliday has started following the wedge. We'll see. Think of a slightly faster (if thats possible) Ginn. What is surprising for a small track guy is that you really have to hit him tackle him.

This is the player for LSU (besides Dorsey of course) that really worries me. I have been very impressed with Hester, Keiland Williams has been a good back as well, but I am scared to death of our kick coverage. Not only is Trindon lights out fast, but because of his size and low center of gravity he is incredibly hard to bring down without a good hit. His shiftiness and speed make it hard to get such a hit on him, and the problems that we have had in kick coverage this year really just scare me to death.

And again, Rehring vs. Dorsey is the key to the game for OSU.

Nice to see some level headed rival fans out there. I hope for a healthy OSU team as well as a healthy LSU team to go out and show the NCAA how football should be played. I also hope for those OSU fans who make the trip to N.O to be safe and experience the true Southern Hospitality of Louisiana. Thanks for letting some of us show up and discuss some good football... and may the best team win on Jan. 07. I also own LSUFanZone - Powered by vBulletin (it's new) so if any of you Buckeyes want to stop in you're welcome. All I ask is to please be as respectful there as i will be here. Good luck to your team.
Thanks for having me over.

Good wishes and much fun from a Tigerfan

This game has been ordained since the beginning of this season. Its karma that after all the topsy turvy stuff thats gone on in this crazy season that it ends the way it began. We've both endured some tough losses this season, but unlike the rest of the buttheads out there, we know that the 2 best teams "are" playing in the NCG. Showed a lot of class by your coach voting us in at number 2 in the polls as well. I have a lot of respect for Ohio State and your storied past. Great school and great program. Some are forecasting a repeat of last years NCG. I don't believe that for a minute. I'm an LSU graduate and a Tiger fan for 40+ years. I think this will go down as one of the greatest games ever. (Although you guys will forgive me if I hope it goes my Tigers way). That being said, heres to a good, tough, injury free game. All the best guys.
