Yup. He's surprisingly down to earth considering his status both on campus and in sports.

I don't really care how his mechanics are throwing the ball, if he gets the ball there and on target, thats all that matters. I think his speed was really shown during the Michigan State game, not on his TD run, but his long run in the 1st quarter when he just took off down the sideline, the kid has amazing speed!

Well better mechanics improve your consistancy/efficiency. TS's mechanics were pretty flawless, I'd love to see his throwing ability and pryor's legs.

Bollman out-takes
Emptying my notebook from Sunday's interviews before another round tonight....

I thought these tidbits from offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Jim Bollman were interesting.

-- On the repeated questions about growing pains last year with Terrelle Pryor and the offense in general:

"Remember, everything that happened last year was on the run, OK?" Bollman said. "So that all happened as we're going (along), none of that was the initial plan going into the deal. So certainly, there was development as the year went on, no question about that. And I think that will continue."

It's a good point, worth noting, that the staff deserves some credit for making pretty drastic changes in personnel after a devastating loss, and still keeping the team in contention for a national title all the way game until No. 9 (Penn State), and ending the year in the top 10. Name another top-10 team that thrust a true freshman in at quarterback and center during the season.

Ohio State football: Pryor ends practice with wrap on throwing arm

The rising sophomore starter sat out some final drills this afternoon with what appeared to be ice wrapped just above his right elbow, on his triceps. Pryor didn't appear to be in any major pain but was clearly experiencing some discomfort, sort of holding the area or moving his arm as he watched Joe Bauserman work with the first-team offense in a final short scrimmage.

Pryor had been having that part of his throwing arm worked on in previous practices as well. No chance to speak with Jim Tressel or anyone else to ask what the situation might be.

The Buckeyes normally like to have four quarterbacks sharing duties in the spring, but the Buckeyes are down to just three this year, so maybe Pryor has seen some extra throws. So maybe there's some extra soreness.

While watching that video, I noticed a few things. Most notably, he's a BAMF. Also, Devier Posey is a great blocker out wide and TP had to leave the pocket numerous times due to a missed block from the RT spot. Bryant Browning is a good friend of mine, but damn...he just isn't a tackle.

I was never convinced that TP didn't have some kind of injury before or during the Texas game. And, I was convinced that Mike Adams would be a force by the time of Spring practice, having healed up from his previous challenges. So far, I am a little apprehensive that I was right in one case and wrong in the other. Would rather have had it the reverse.

TP's arm may not be a huge concern this early in the Spring, but if there is any connection with what bothered him in the last game, then maybe there is a little reason for apprehension. And, having watched Adams in the Army AA game a couple years ago, dominating on both rush and passing, I am truly puzzled regarding his pass protection. I hope in both cases it is nothing to really worry about at this point. But having been a fan for so many years (62) there is always something to gnash ones teeth about. :2004:
