I actually like Braylon, though. Even as a Bengals fan, I think he's been a pretty class act and a hell of a player. None of the above fit either quality.
For what it's worth, he's the managing editor, so he probably controls all the propaganda! :D
Also, he has the best record picking games out of any of the scrubs that write for sportsline, even better than the computer (Harmon).
Not sure if I like this news (as a Buckeye fan) or not. No doubt, most LSU fans want Flynn in there because of his experience, knowledge of the offense, and the fact that he's a proven leader who led his teams through tough challenges against Auburn, Florida, and Bama.
But, as an outsider, I...
It was funny - in that interview, he came off like a likable, humble guy with a good sense of humor about himself. Seems to help confirm that all that bravado is just a show.
I don't think Pryor will base his decision off of one game, but that was just ugly. Now he knows what happens at WVU when a determined, tenacious defense plays them for a whole game and never lets up. That's two games on the season they had no business losing.
At Ohio State, he'll play much...
I like to think of Wells' run as The Run part III. Both of the runs he's busted against scUM have been frighteningly similar to the one Jonathan Wells busted up the middle against Michigan in 2001.
Football is a game where you have to play the percentages if you want the best chance to win. Simply put, Les Miles is a couple lucky breaks away from having a three-loss team. The Auburn call was absolutely inexcusable. A competent cornerback knocks it down and ends LSU's title hopes. Going for...
They were both on Moeller's staff at UM, and once Carr took the HC job Miles left the staff. That says something to me. There are also rumors that while recruiting kids taking a serious look at both UM and LSU, Miles would hint that Carr's health was failing and he would probably retire soon...
This thread should start picking up over the next couple of months, especially if Lloyd Carr announces his retirement tomorrow. Anyone else completely unintimidated by the thought of Les Miles stalking the opposing sideline?
I was actually just thinking that. Let's be glad the D may have gotten their worst performance of the year out of their system now, and hopefully not in the bowl game.
Agreed. Congratulations to Ron Zook and that entire Illinois team. Played their guts out, wanted it more, and simply outclassed us. That deafening silence you hear is not just Ohio Stadium, but people questioning Ron Zook's ability to coach falling dreadfully silent. I would have felt much...
I knew something was up when Penn State's D gave up 24 to Buffalo. But Wisky giving up 31 to the Citadel? They might have shown improvement against Northern Illinois and a quickly collapsing Indiana offense, but I'm pretty confident heading into this one that the offense will have few problems...
This is surprising, because CFN is usually rather balanced when compared to places like ESPiN and Sportsline. They recognize the SEC speed myth as bullshit, have pointed out that Florida and LSU may end up being the only truly great teams in the conference (and now it may be down to LSU), so on...
I think we played at Wisconsin two years in a row, winning (obviously) in '02 and losing in '03 (the "Reynolds choke" game). We lost at home in '04, but that shouldn't surprise anybody given how bad that Buckeye team was at that point in the year.
Really? I know Colin Cowherd picked PSU, but it didn't concern me because Cowherd's an idiot and I don't think he watches sports. Unfortunately, the guys at Sportsline all picked us. Who has picked against us on ESPiN?
I agree. Branch and Woodley were all-timers. I'm guessing you were at a loss for words on 11/18 and during the Rose Bowl in much the same way we were on 11/18 and during the MNC game. :)
I hope that game goes in a similar fashion to this weekend's game. I don't think we have to score early and...
