'10 OH RB Erick Howard (Ohio U Walk-On)

Getting the grades to get into OSU should definately be possible for him. Hoover is almost identical to my school, If he works hard he'll do it.

I hope he does because he looks to be something special.
I'm pumped to watch him more this upcoming year now that he is on OSU's radar.

Something tells me knowing that boosting his grades will get him into OSU, will make it happen.

Scout$--Erick Howard Favors The Buckeyes

Erick has offers from Cincinnati, Kent State, Akron and Colorado but is hoping for a Buckeye offer. He says JT told him if the grades improve, he could get an offer.
That's great news. He really seems like a guy that could succeed at Ohio State. And, all of the articles that I've seen on him show that he is really trying to get his life in order.

Don't get your hopes up, he's most likely not going to get an offer.

He fits the State Penn running back mold, I wouldn't be shocked to see him in the country side aka Happy Valley

Ummm, thanks chris? Not a good first impression over here, bud. Erick has had some trouble, yes, as a lot of other kids have had. However, he is working his butt off to make up for it and has begun to trun his life around, both in the classroom and outside of it. I respect him for it, and if he does earn the offer, then you will KNOW that Erick has a passion for Ohio State. I can respect that.

My first comment came out a little negative. First I think it's great that Erick is at least making the effort to get his grades up and starting to make smarter decisions in his life.

Ya think?

I would rather have a kid that has recovered from adversity (I was one of them). I think they are stronger long term because they know what will happen if they mess up. They've been there already and don't want to go back.

Really pulling for him.

Rivals $

1/21

From the OSU site...talks about how he redirected his focus to getting an education first, playing football second. Hearing from the likes of Michigan, Ohio State, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska , Cincinnati and Colorado. Recaps OSU's December junior day which he says was amazing.

The amount of attendtion OSU is paying to OOS RBs makes me leery about the possibility of an early offer...

Howard reminds me of Doss and another RB from McK that played with Josh McDaniels, I think his name was Brown. I wouldn't rule out Howard ending up at SS. He could be a Moore, Whitner, or Hines wrecking ball type. He's a physical guy with great intincts on either side of the LOS.
