I'll be surprised if more than 40K see it live no matter who wins.

FSU travels like shit and, before anyone says it, Miami is a fucking HIKE from Tallahassee.

Yes, it is a 5 - 6 hours drive from there to here, but there are a shit-ton of FSU grads living down here that will most likely head down to the game.

You know, if you would have told me after finishing 6-7 last year, that we would bring in Coach Meyer and go undefeated with essentially the same players, finish the season ranked 3rd in the AP poll, and be looking at a potential NCG run for 2014, I'd be a happy man. I guess that's why I'm not as bitter about the bowl ban because even though I knew Coach Meyer was a beast, I did not expect us to see that kind of turn around.

You writing off 2013?

Today, I happened to look at the latest polls. In both polls, Nebraska is ranked ahead of Wisconsin. Did anyone involved with the polls watch the game or see the final score?

http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/rankings

The only reasoning I can see for that is that they split the two games between them, and that Nebraska was way ahead of Wiscy in the polls and finished with two fewer losses. Sometimes games get out of hand...Wiscy isn't really 40 points better than Nebraska.

just because team a beat team b, shouldn't put them ahead automatically, Wiscy still has 5 losses

Yeah, I don't have a problem with it. Ultimately for voters it comes down to whether or not the 39 point win in the B1GCCG outweighs the disparity in the win-loss record. Like Mililani said, Wisconsin is definitely not 40 points better than Nebraska, but I do think the two teams are pretty evenly matched. The blowout was inflated because Nebraska just laid down at a certain point.

oh cmon we all know that the refs gave the game to wiscy......sp no way they were better than Bo's boys
I mean we only put 63 on em right? So now way wiscy should have beaten them.....:bonk:

I assume he meant 2014 as in January 7, 2014, the date of the BCSNCG for the 2013 season, though that sure is an odd way to put it.

Also, I haven't posted here in a while, and it appears as though m*ch*ga* still sucks, which obviously demands acknowledgement.

So the preseason #1 in many polls, USC, finishes 7-6 after losing the Sun Bowl.

Yeah, these "experts" really have deep insight and knowledge. It's a good thing we base the championship system largely on their opinions.

Just another of countless examples of why preseason polls are 100% pointless. First polls should be voted on after September ends.

The preseason ranking didn't affect USC's final ranking, so I don't see this situation as being evidence of a problem.

And I believe the current and undefeated No. 1 was unranked in the preseason polls.
