2016 tOSU Really Basic Defense Discussion

Right before your Harry Potter marathon....ya freakin' nerd.

That's my 8 year old daughters (I swear).

Oh yeah. Don't buy the box set used off eBay. 480 pixelated Chinese junk made from DivX rips I could have torrented myself. Repro box is pretty convincing though.

Seller had like 600 feedback before the account vanished. :mad1:

Well Oklahoma is right... we have been bland. It's because we've had to be due to the up tempo sling it fast offenses that we've played. I think in this game you will see a ton more from our guys.

And because why would we show them anything new on film? Of course it's been vanilla, Duhr, lab partner Sooner back-up who wasn't recruited by tOSU. That's how big boys play football. Don't you think Meyer and Schiano have something specifically for OU that they haven't shown? I'd be pissed if they didn't. Either this guy's Buckeye butthurt is overriding his common sense or he's an abject moron... or both, I suppose.

Let me be clear about this. What the back up QB said is NBD to me.

But that's no reason to not embrace it and play it up to the hilt.

If the Silver Bullets do well on Saturday, we should start by changing the title of this thread to "Basic Defense". All chants of D-Fense! at the 'Shoe should henceforth be "Ba-sic D-Fense". I might even have t-shirts made

Heard an interesting comment from an ESPN talking head about what OU's backup QB said. He said that it was unlikely that it was an original thought. In other words, it was likely something he has been hearing from his coaches or team leaders. If that is the case - that OU's coaches and starters think that the defensive packages (which have been basic) displayed against BG and Tulsa are the same ones they'll see - I like our defense to have a big game.

You would think/hope that major college coaches wouldnt pump such thinking into their players minds.
