Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

Any way that anyone can see if we trade Cincinnati (city of) to Kentucky? Might solve many problems, so when OSU recruits in the area, they will look upon that as a big deal? When Kelly gets snarfled up by a bigger program (this year or next), then we'll see what UC does to compensate. Hi Ho mediocrity, once again.

I'm not so sure...I thought the same thing when Dantonio left.

H&G, you've been around here a long time and we know that you are trying to make a valid point as a Buckeye and UC fan. What BB73 is saying is that we remove trash-talking posts very quickly and put them in a holding cell. Trash-talkers are banned if they deserve it. So, folks are reacting to things that they have seen on BP, but which are no longer visible, and to the trash being talked by UC fans elsewhere.

So, just don't assume that because you don't see much that it never existed. On the other hand, we also shouldn't over-exaggerate how many UC posters have come onto BP to talk trash. It hasn't been an invasion by any means.

Steve, thanks for the heads up and the clarification. I did not see those posts and I apologize. The 'paranoia' comment was ill advised on my part. I apologize for that, too.

I've been a legit contributor to this forum for about five years now. I joined to keep OSU fans up to date on the recruiting of Colerain players Connor Smith and Tyler Moeller. I've provided insight on several Cincy area players and I've always tried to confirm my information before I post it.
So, no, I will NOT 'get the fuck out of here' and you're just going to have to deal with it.

He is an ornery one, but just buy Buckyle a suitcase or 30 pack of Natty Light, sing him a Journey tune in the Key of Steve Perry and everything will be smoothed over.

Dude, you are a worthy poster. You bring to BP something, as a true Ohio State fan, that many alumni couldn't hope to. You, sir are a valued poster. Don't let some (well deserved) barbs aimed at UC, its idiot administration or some of its players effect you.

UC is now a football school. They will continue to put a good team on the field. I know it isn't what you want to hear but...
Yep, kinda like Maryland, Louisville, and Kansas State....

Five years from now, we'll all be wondering what happened to those great new football powers such as Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Cincinnati.

 Really? I think there's quite a few of us that will know full well what happened to them...the same thing that happened to Illinois, Fresno St., BYU, etc, etc...

You have a great point (and as another poster said UC isn't even on these schools level yet) and until proven otherwise there really isn't any reason to believe otherwise...

The only point that I, as a UC fan, could hang my hat on is that Cincinnati is in Ohio and the area provides enough football recruiting talent and, if the facilities are built, could still keep enough players away from the middle of the road big ten schools. Petrinio leaving UofL was a disaster for the program, no question. But UofL does not have schools like Colerain, Moeller, Elder, St. Xavier, Winton Woods, Middletown, etc...in its recruiting base. There is nothing quite like an Ohio high school football player and whoever takes over UC after kelly leaves will have to continue hitting these schools for players...

Will UC be a football power? no, not likely. But as long as they play in a conference that offers an automatic BCS bowl bid (and the merrits of that bid can be debated in another thread) the can draw enough local talent to win the BE in a lot of season.
