NBA Finals - Celtics vs. Lakers

They have none to start with. The Lakers are the ones who might be exposed as frauds before this is over.
THey are not only lacking in the amount of talent but also don't look like a team at all.
Seriously, this is sad for a championship game.

Good question.

I was informed by some that LA was the better defensive team coming into this series - despite stats to the contrary - and yet that hasn't been the case.

Go figure.

not over yet folks...boston rallied and LA will make a run...but boston looks very good tonight

The night Boston made a run, they showed the potential to make it a game. LA got lucky a lot and Boston had lots of terrible breaks.

That isn't what is happening in this game. This game is over. Very over.

LA MIGHT cut it to 12-14 points but that will be it. LA doesn't want it like Boston does.

KG, PP, and the role players are stepping on throats tonight.

LA has mailed it in, they put everything on the court sunday to prevent them from winning it in LA, they look content to have that "moral victory."

I agree. That is why I'm not feeling the comeback sentiment. LA just doesn't want it, and even if they come out inspired, they'll be lucky to make it a 10 point game.

Boston is the 2007-08 NBA Champions.

I don't know if I'd use the word "content" but the Lakers' youth is definitely showing tonight. Kobe has been there, done that, Fisher was there too but he's a role player. The other Lakers are mostly young guys, versus three VERY hungry Celtics for whom this is the moment they have waited a decade or more to reach and they're leaving it all on the floor.

I said back when the trades were made (on another message board) that the ONLY way the Celts trades would be worth the future they dealt away would be if they won a title. They're 24 minutes away from making Ainge look like a genius...but their work isn't finished yet.

No time to let up...beat LA!

Odom and Gasol (no shows), which makes Kobe throw up all kinds of his only shots, threes.

It's going to be a long summer for the LA Lakers.

Not to pick on Kobe too much, but when he comes out settling for jumpers he takes everyone out of the game.

Again, he made a lot of them, but it took the entire team out of rhythm. If he penetrates maybe Lamar gets a few open looks on kick-outs and Pau gets some lay-ups on dump-offs.

Kobe has bailed the Celtics out tonight. His first quarter may have been the worst thing that could have happend to LA.
