Official Cleveland Browns Draft Thread

I wasn't talking to you stroths, I was talking to Napoleon. I hear where your coming from, but Brady is not the guy to bring you guys out of the dark age. 20 other teams passed on him so what does that tell you. Good Luck, but don't complain if he is a bust.

So only quarterbacks taken in the top ten can be good?

What exactly are you trying to say?

I think what bothers me the most is that it all but eliminates the Brown's chances of drafting Troy Smith. I don't really care a whole lot about the Browns losing next years draft pick, because i'm not a Browns fan, I just thought that Smith in Cleveland with Joe Thomas would be a great situation.

I like the trade. That means they can't blow their first round pick next year on a turd like Chad Henne. :tongue2:

Seriously, I hated the idea of Quinn at #3. I think they paid a steep price to get back into the first round, but it's a move they had to make. It would've been nice to get rid of Braylon Edwards in the process. Quinn is a good pick at that spot, and the Browns have put together a first round. I'm excited about the Browns having a good LT for a change.

I hope the fact that Quinn had to wait a while will help him. I hope he uses this as motivation to succeed that's what I would do. I don't mind the trade but I would have rather given up next years 1st and braylon and kept my 2nd round choice. Either that or give up this years 2nd and braylon but keep next years 1st. Oh well doesn't matter what is done is done. Now that Quinn is a brown let me say welcome to the family Mr. Quinn. I will never root for Notre Dame but I will root for you now.

By the way, Who's your team Mgoblue29?

Bottom line is give up Braylon! Worthless piece of scUM crap (redundant I know) that is a me-first cancer type.

Right now Phil Savage has an 'A' for this draft.

I'm a Raiders fan so their really isn't any reason to talk, but I can't help myself. I personally think Russell and Quinn are only a little bit better than the other qb's Beck and Edwards. I would have liked for us to draft CJ then draft Beck in the second, but whatever Russell looks good in Silver and Black.

I kind of doubt that any other team was talking about giving up as much as the Browns to make the trade.
If the Browns got that impression then it was a great bluff by Jones and the Cowboys.

That is what I was trying to tell you guys.

Agreed. Once again buckiprof, you always seem to find a way to post exactly what I have been thinking. If we could find a taker for Braylon this would be the best draft of the Browns history. I think Phil deserves an A for his efforts as GM. He has done everything possible to make the right moves to turn this franchise around. If they eventually get rid of Romeo I hope Savage stays for a long time.

Agreed if you are a Michigan fan and a Raiders fan there is no need to pile on the Brownies. Time may prove you to be right but at this time there are many many people out there some of them the so called experts who love what Cleveland has put together in the draft so far. Let's just let this one play itself out. Like I said the raiders don't have much to talk about at all. I wish your Raiders well with their next pick. GO BUCKS AND GO BROWNIES!

i liked the joe thomas pick, idk about giving up 1st round next year and 2nd this year though.. we could have picked up trent edwards second round or troy smith 4th or 3rd round.. but much better than picking brady at #3. i think he'll be a bust, but now i hope im wrong..
