Guys, do a little research on Sweedish Snus. NOT that horrible Cammel crap. The real deal from Europe. Available on line.

Americans bake their tobac and it releases carcinigans.
EU companies steam it. VERY low number of cancer causing agents. Plenty of nicotine. COPE/Skoal is a 160 ish level of cancers, Snus is 2.4.

I got off COPE, no muss, no fuss. I really enjoy the stuff.

Anything from General is good stuff.

Not as good as quitting, but still way less risk.

Think of quitting smoking as not the worst sacrifice you've ever made but a benifit health wise and if you quit and smoke a cig again that's 10,000 dollar mistake you're making

I don't think of it as a sacrifice. I want to quit. But attaching finacial reasons doesn't really do anything for me. I make it rain at the tobacco store.

Three days so far. I'm done this time. It just got to the point where I really wanted to stop.

Until a bureaucrat determines that, statistically, it would be a waste of the State's resources and says...

If you made it three days ...

you can make it three weeks ..

if you make it three weeks ...

you can make it three months ...

and on into years and decades.

Good luck with this - giving up smoking is easily the toughest "OTC" to kick.

BTW, not that it matters but this is month 5 and 19 days for me.

would have been longer than that - but those fucking new years parties, a cigar and then a spare Camel with the bubbly.

But, free and clear since that point.

Way I look at it - one of those packs I no longer buy lets me double up the donation to BP per month.

The rest are going to a rainy day fund.

Tonight should be the real test...beer.

Though, none of my buddies smoke, so it shouldn't be that hard...I hope.

Some of my money saved will go towards BP...GREAT IDEA...but...most will probably just go towards more beer.

You shut your stupid cock holster.

Is it normal to start coughing three days after you quit? Or do I just have the swine flu?

Seriously, I never really coughed while smoking, but now I feel like I have emph...uh...a bad cough.

Your body is expelling the extra mucus it was producing trying to defend itself from smoke...or you're in the early stages of swine flu. If it's the latter, you might as start smoking again. :pimp:
