Rob Gronkowski (party buses and porn stars)

Remember, when Nick Claytor was interviewed on BN radio, he made it sound like he was a done deal to OSU. Then, he committed to Ga Tech. Finally, we learned that Nick did not even have had an offer from Ohio State. So.... this might be a similar situation.

Excellent point...also a good point by wad. Duane hardly ever says we'll get an OOS recruit. But Gronkowski will be visiting officially so it seems like we do want him.

Clemson verbal Brian Linthicum discusses his wednesday-friday official visit with a number of other early-enrolling Clemson commitments. He mentions spending time with Rob Gronkowski but says he is unsure of what Rob will do...especially since he is visiting tOSU.

I put this update in here because Clemson uses its recruits as recruiters and Willy Korn is one of the best...the fact that the Clemson commitments are unsure of Rob's feelings is a good sign for the Buckeyes.

..and right after I type that, Xavier Dye's update says Rob was saying he is leaning to Clemson and they all had a great time together.

This update by Robert Thorne is more of the same (do they really need to do three updates?). Rob rates his Clemson visit a ten and says that he may be ready to make a decision after his OSU visit.

He is taking January visits now? His last couple of updates said he would be announcing after he visits OSU this week (Wednesday - Friday).

Also, with the lack of OLineman in this class, could his future be on the OLine?

If Rob would be to change positions from a TE, it would have to be as a DE. He seems too athletic to switch him to OL and ask him (if he is even able) to gain the 35-40 pounds it would take to make the minimum weight for a OL.

Rob has always struck me as a player we were "slow playing". I always got the impression that he was not a big priority and that if we really wanted him he would be ours. Apparently my assumptions (as usual) were wrong and we really want Rob and still might not snag him
