Who cares about previous tOSU-Wisconsin games or what tOSU will do to Wisky next season? The concern should be now. Coach Tressel and his team are not making excuses this morning. They were beat by the better team on Saturday.

The Bucks did a great job coming back in the 3rd quarter. However, the defense needed to make a stop in the 4th quarter and the offense needed to score points--and neither happened. In the first and fourth quarters, the Badgers were clearly the better football team. The Buckeyes have work to do.

Talking about the past, boasting about the future, and making excuses for the present is lame.

Yes. However with all this talk about no one being a challenge in the Big10, all we have to hang our hat on in going to a BCS game is our out of conference slate. As stated by the people on here who are so upset and calling for heads, Ohio State is the only team in the Big10 worth a damn. Everyone else is just a high school team.

come on guys. we are the better team who just got outplayed in a hostile enviroment. wisconsin put their whole season into this game which is why they lost to msu and will lose next week.

tp still isn't healthy and we really need him to be by november. we need our tackles to play much better.

the d will be fine. they are allowed a bad game everynow and then. the other two teams offense and special teams have to win a game every now and then.

get off the ledge boys. nobody save boise/tcu is going undefeated this year

In the parameters of smack talk between two programs, anything other than score board between said two programs is sort of lame. If Georgia kicks our ass and we still win the SEC East, the Mutts still kicked our ass. In that sad event I button my lip and wait for revenge a year later. The fact that - say - they lost to a LSU and we did not, or that we went to a better bowl - detracts almost nothing from the head to head loss. Florida has an overall winning record against LSU. Who gives a [censored] - they beat us this year and that is the only thing that matters right now. Give 'em props and move on.

Hypothetical: Ole Miss fan sees you in February '09 and starts talking [censored] because they beat you in the swamp that past football season. You don't bring up the fact that you couldn't give a [censored] less because your team won the NC, while Ole Miss lost 4 games and was playing in the Cotton Bowl?

That's a separate topic from this particularly declaration (lesser being refuted by .500). I get the connection you're trying to make though.

Auburn could go .500 or even .750 against Bama over the next 8 years, but unless they catch up to Bama's overall success and achievements, they are a lesser program.

A lesser program doesn't have to be a terrible one or a mediocre win.

Thoughts on Sat

I am done with Heacock. This is the best d-line he has coached at Ohio State? Joke. Embarassing. Your best got punched in the face when everybody knew what was coming from Wisconsin. Look at the sack numbers no pressure on QBs is a huge issue and will be more as the season goes along. Our recruiting in LB is starting to show. Sabino has not lived up to the hype yet and Rolle is not a middle linebacker. Bell can not crack the two deep? This is the best 1st string team I have seen in my 20+ years of watching OSU. The problem is there is no one to back the 1st string up. WR/LB/Star are not deep at all. Keep the faith only dropping to 10 is a blessing and gives a glimmer of hope. Go Bucks

Agreed. Seems like no one should have much to say other than let's beat Purdue.
