Here's what a little bird told me (I don't think Cleveland would do it tho'):
Yankee scouts were recently seen at the Indians-Mariners series, but contrary to speculation, the Yankees scouts were not at the game to scout the Seattle players, but primarily to scout Cleveland's GRADY SIZEMORE.
The Yanks see Sizemore as their CF of the future, he's very young (22), and they say that his swing reminds them of a young Paul O'Neill. The Yanks are also interested in Arthur Rhodes (desperately need a lefty out of the 'Pen), and Kevin Millwood too. (The Yanks are looking to Leo Mazzone as successor to Mel Stottleymyre as Pitching Coach next season, and feel Leo can ressurect Millwood's career again as he did in Atlanta).
The Indians, with a glut of Outfielders, like Dubois' power potential along with Casey Blake, and Cocoa Puffs in Center. So apparently they're open to listening to offers for Sizemore. The Indians would get, in return, the Yankees best position prospect, 3B Eric Duncan, who is a David Wright clone, and would replace struggling Aaron Boone at 3B. Duncan is currently at Double A, but is viewed as a fast track type prospect who can be in the Bigs by the '06 All Star Break. They would also get Sean Henn, a Triple A righthanded starter with a great fastball, who is among the best pitching prospects in the Yanks' system. He pitched two games for the Yanks (both against TB) earlier this season in emergency situations and was rocked both times. He has stuff, but clearly isn't ready. The Indians are high on him, and feel he's a change-up away from being a very successful ML pitcher.
So to sum up: Sizemore, Millwood, & Rhodes to Yanks in exchange for Duncan (AA-3B), & Henn (AAA-RHP). What do you Indians fans think? I don't really see this trade happening ..
