2023 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I get that Keeley has been to Tuscaloosa. I get that Bama/Saban is at the top of the heap. Howesomeever, I also believe that getting Keeley to visit tOSU, playing the team that he'd commited to love forever is huge. The campus should be beautiful, the stadium will be a'hoppin', and when tOSU pins the Domers ears back with a 'new and vastly improved D', it'll get him thinking. He'll sit behind JT and Jack for a year (hopefully two), but will get his minutes. Also have the benefit of Coach J's awesome knowledge of how to play the position. Maybe his official visit will include High Street after the game, at least the VC, and wistfully (as it's gone) Andy Capp's, to see how the Midwesterners party down after a huge win. Suffice to say, hopefully the needle swings to tOSU after this visit.....Go Bucks! Also the BDBITL will hit all the right notes - there we're #1!

His visit for the ND game is HUGE! The atmosphere will be insane, but I tend to think this is more of a business trip. He's already been to OSU, and I'm sure taken in some of the sights in Cbus, and he also doesn't strike me as a kid who cares much about off the field distractions. He'll have a year tops to watch JTT and Sawyer, because who are we kidding, both are in no way reaching their senior seasons at OSU as long as they're healthy. Hopefully he brings his mom and family along as well, so LJsr and Day can show him how his career can be laid out at OSU.

Give tOSU a month into season, and then let’s reevaluate where we are at on defensive recruiting.

I think it’s amazing we are even #2…..if we come out and play stout defense, just watch kids re-engage with tOSU. It will happen….

And also watch all of these rumors of OSU commits flipping slow down abruptly

Listened to THE Podcast with Birm and Bill Landis, and the excitement the recruits had over seeing and being able to meet Lebron James was INSANE! Landis said the bulk of the recruits were on his side, and ran to the other end of the sideline when they saw/heard that Lebron was entering the sideline
Luke Montgomery also told Birm, that he had Wilson and Keeley promise him that they'd commit to the Buckeyes if he could introduce them to Lebron... And he was able to8D So take that FWIW. But still a cool story nonetheless

I, myself, am starstruck by the amount of ridiculous talent that was on the Ohio State sideline on Saturday. I could barely contain myself as star after star rolled into the stadium. To be a recruit that was standing right there and interacting with them all... I can't even imagine it.

On another note, LOL, come on Zeke you got that looking like an Ewok man! Love Zeke but that's craziness.

Man, Zeke was looking crazy, the Ewok look is spot on . And don't get me started on the purse

But yeah, there was SO MUCH talent on the sidelines, and we haven't even showed the pics of guys who weren't related to the Buckeyes but just wanted to be there(i.e. Rich Paul, Andre Igoudola and Jayson Tatum). And then you have guys who weren't really pictured who are former Buckeyes(Sam Hubbard, Terry McLaurin, Cardale, Jeff Okudah, Bin Victor, and a bunch of '02 NC champs). Not sure how many other schools can pull out this type of star power. I'm curious to see who Tejas is able to trot out when they play Bama. Kevin Durant has next to affiliation with UT, and the most famous Bama basketball player is Latrell Spreewell or Robert Horry(and yes I know Lebron didn't go to OSU, but he is a booster and doesn't hide his love for the program). And not sure how many players will come back to be on the sidelines like what we saw in Columbus.
